What if I add a new pup to my family?
If your dog is a current student, your new dog will be placed at the top of our waitlist to join their sibling for fun.
I don't think this Montessori school program is right for me, can I still book my dog for daycare?
We know that this program may not be the best fit for everyone, beginning April 1st 2023 Non-students are able to book daycare for $25 up to one month in advance as space allows. If no space is available your pup may be placed on our waitlist. Please keep in mind that students will be given priority.
What if there is an emergency or my dog is sick or hurt and cannot attend school for a period of time?
We are happy to talk with any owner directly to determine the best option for your pet to return to school on a case by case basis.
What if I miss my dogs assigned day of the week?
Substituted days may only be made up or rescheduled IF there is space available and we can not guarantee this. Just like a private school or child daycare; your monthly fee holds your dogs’ assigned day(s) whether they are present or not.
We don't need our dog to attend school this summer but hope to return in the fall, what are my options?
If your dog is a current student and you cancel their student membership with good standing and hope to return in the fall, your dog may be placed at the top of our waitlist for fall enrollment.
What if my dog is lodging during their school days?
No worries at all! Your dog will still participate in school during their lodging stay and may participate every day during their stay with no additional cost.
Will my dog be able to attend holiday and seasonal parties if they are not enrolled in Montessori School for Dogs?
If your dog is not a student but comes for daycare on a weekly basis, they may attend our parties for an additional fee if there is availability (students are priority). Our parties are very expensive and time consuming for the business. Membership/student fees go towards paying for party supplies and extra staff for party days. Most importantly, parties go a lot smoother for the dogs who come on a regular basis. Dogs who are students and daycare dogs who come on a consistent basis are familiar with the staff and are accustomed to different fun experiences. We’ve learned that a party day may be too overwhelming for a new dog or for a dog that isn’t used to regular daycare/day school.
If my dog is NOT a student in the Montessori program, but comes for daycare will they still be able to participate in the activities?
The daily Montessori activities take substantial planning and time with the staff and students and are an extra cost to the business, IF there are additional time slots available for daycare dogs to participate in activities it will be an additional cost to daycare. Daycare for non-students will still include supervised group play with their friends who may be students in montessori school.
What if there are 5 weeks in the month? Does the 5th week count towards my membership days?
The monthly membership is designed for a 4 week month. If a month has 5 weeks, school that week is optional. Your pup can take a break that week, do daycare instead or keep their same school schedule at an additional day rate. Teachers will be happy to work out what is best for you and your student.
