Things to know before their stay

  • We ask that each meal is measured out into an individual bag and labeled. You may pack a few extras labeled “extra” just in case your pet is with us longer than intended.
You may pack your dog some treats but we ask that you ONLY bring things that they are used to having, and to not over do it. We know that it may be tempting to want your fur baby to have extra treats while away, but we want to be sure not to upset their tummy.
  • All medications must be brought with their original bottle clearly labeled with their name and dose. You may put pills in pill boxes but we must also have the original packaging as well to ensure medication is for the right pet with the correct dosing.
We ask that you not bring food and water bowls (unless they’re specialized for your pet.) We provide our own dishes in house and they are cleaned and sanitized daily.
You may bring a Blanket and up to two toys for your dog’s stay. Please label all items and do not bring anything of great value. We like to inform everyone that while we try our best to keep up with personal items, those items may become lost or damaged during your dog’s stay.
  • For safety purposes we do NOT allow rope toys or rawhides!
It is common for pets to not eat the first few days of lodging and being away from home. Food not eaten will be returned back to the owner as leftovers.
If your dog goes more than 2 days without eating we will first add water to entice them to eat. If your dog still doesn’t eat after adding water we will add chicken bone broth which is very enticing as well as very gentle on the digestive tract. (Please inform us if you would rather us handle this differently with your dog.)
  • A very common behavior that can happen in the lodging environment is “rooting”. Rooting is the act of burying or hiding food. Even though your dog may have their own private suite, they still know other dogs are around and this tends to bring out their natural behavior of wanting to hide their food in their blankets or under the door. This can result in an irritated nose in some cases.
  • Please ensure that we have an updated cell phone number to send your daily report cards to. If you prefer your report cards via email please make us aware of this at drop off and ensure that we have an updated email address.
